What happens if you deliver one, without the other?
Too much substance and you risk overwhelming, confusing or boring clients to tears. Too little substance and clients question your competency and credibility.
In addition to subject matter expertise, style matters. What do people see and hear–how do they feel–when you’re interacting with them?
Do you have presence, or merely take-up space? Do you embody confidence or radiate doubt and confusion?
Stocks aren’t the only equities you deal with. Your words have equity conveying important observations, ideas and advice. They may plummet in value however, when uttered carelessly.
